The 30 year old Amakhosi defender picked up R100 000 as Kaizer Chiefs’ Player of the Season, but immediately said he was giving the award to his central defensive partner Mathoho, who played along side him as Amakhosi romped to the Absa Premiership title.
Mashamaite also picked up another R50 000 as the Fans’ Player of the Season, and 20 000 more as the Player of the Month for February and May.
This is added to the R450 000 he won on Sunday, when he was named the Premier Soccer League Footballer of the Season, the Absa Premiership Players’ Player of the Season, and the Absa Premiership Defender of the Season.
