The Amakhosi central defender joined Chiefs from Wits in 2011, and has already won two league titles with Chiefs, as well as a Nedbank Cup and MTN8.
“Wits are a great team to join as a youngster,” Mashamaite told the Chiefs official website, ahead of Wednesday night’s Absa Premiership meeting between the two sides at FNB Stadium.
“There is a culture of development, of promoting youngsters from the academy to the first team.”
“On the other hand, at Chiefs, the intensity and the ambition to win trophies are much more hard core. The Amakhosi are more business like, winning trophies is a must and everything at the Village is geared towards achieving this.”
