OUDTSHOORN NEWS - Three dedicated employees of SWD Cricket (SWDC) were recognised for two decades of continuous service during a special awards ceremony held at the Wilderness Hotel on Friday 21 June.
Among the recipients was Chief Executive Officer Albertus Kennedy, who initially, joined SWD Cricket in September 2004 as general manager when the full-time administrative office was established.
His position was later elevated to CEO in 2010, a role in which he has played a key part in the organisation's development and success over the years.
Zenobia Nel, the human resource administrator and executive assistant, was also honoured. She began her journey with SWD Cricket in October 2004 as an administrative assistant and has since become a central figure in the organisation's day-to-day operations and internal coordination.
The third recipient was Pieter Stuurman, a former first-class cricketer for SWD Cricket. Stuurman began his career at the organisation as a development coach and has been serving as the club and facilities co-ordinator since 2012, contributing significantly to the growth of cricket infrastructure and club development across the region.
Michelle Weyers, a non-independent director at SWD Cricket, applauded the employees for their commitment, dedication and sacrifices in paving the success of SWD Cricket.
