OUDTSHOORN NEWS - Six talented learners from Oudtshoorn High School (Struisies) have qualified for the national round of the Allegretto Inter Provincial Eisteddfod. The national round will take place on 6 and 7 September.
The Oudtshoorn learners impressed judges in the English Division with their remarkable versatility, entering a wide range of categories.
These included debating, poetry recitation, creative writing, and visual art.
The learners who represented the school were Onalerona Mokgoje (debate), Talia Salemane (debate and prepared reading), Kay Ann de Jager (poetry reading and radical debate), Carson-Lee Martin (prepared reading), Nerine van der Merwe (visual art) and Christopher Moos (debate).
The Allegretto Eisteddfod is a well-respected platform that highlights excellence in the performing and visual arts. It offers learners from across South Africa the opportunity to showcase their talents on a national stage while developing confidence, creativity and communication skills.
