Sentencing proceedings continue against the Lavender Hill resident in the Western Cape High Court.
The 52-year-old woman, who has been convicted of fraud, kidnapping and contravention of sections of the Children's Act, maintains that she's innocent.
The NPA's Eric Ntabazalila says Zephany will deliver her testimony in camera, because of the “deeply sensitive” information she's expected to reveal about her life.
"One thing we can mention is that things are going fine up to this stage."
The teenager was reunited with her biological parents in February last year, months before her 18th birthday.
The parents say they have struggled to build a relationship with the teen and it has since deteriorated.
