NATIONAL NEWS - A pedestrian was killed when he was knocked over by a minibus taxi in Villieria on Monday night 22 April.
Netcare 911 emergency services spokesperson Shawan Herbst said this happened on the corner of 24th and Nico Smith avenues around 8.10pm.
“Reports from the scene indicate that an adult male pedestrian was struck down by a minibus taxi while crossing the road. The pedestrian was dragged under the taxi for some distance,” he said.
Herbst said the man sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on the scene.
