Earlier supporters of the African National Congress picketed outside the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court, calling for the alleged killers of Emmanuel Sithole to not be granted bail on Tuesday.
Clad in t-shirts condemning xenophobia, they carried placards written, “No bail for Sithole’s killers”, while shouting “No bail!”
Sithole, 35, was killed over the weekend in Alexandra. Four men were expected to appear in court to face murder charges. Gauteng premier David Makhura, safety and security MEC Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane and top NPA officials were in court.
