GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the western parts of the Namakwa and West Coast districts today and over the central Karoo and Little Karoo tomorrow, Wednesday 1 October, according to the South African Weather Service.

Western Cape
Fine and warm to hot but very hot to extremely hot in the West Coast District. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate easterly to north-easterly but fresh in places along the south and north-west coast. The expected UVB sunburn index: Very High
Western half of the Eastern Cape
Cloudy with fog in places over the interior in the morning, otherwise fine and cool to warm. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly, becoming fresh to strong easterly from mid-day.
Eastern half of the Eastern Cape
Morning fog in places over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy cool to cold with light rain along the Wild Coast. It will be cloudy in the east. The wind along the coast will be light northerly at first, otherwise fresh to strong north-easterly.
