Residents are strongly advised not to attempt crossing any closed bridge. Some bridges may have sustained structural damage, while others remain flooded. Vehicles and pedestrians can easily be swept away by fast-flowing floodwaters.
The following bridges remain closed: Rademeyer Street, Church Street, Albert Street and Victoria Street.
The following bridges are open: Bloem Street, Vreede Street, St John Street, Noord Street and Van der Riet Street.
Residents are urged to obey all road closure signs and barriers for their own safety.
