OUDTSHOORN NEWS - Suff Academy, Oudtshoorn Youth Cafe, Nedbank Oudtshoorn and KFC joined forces to conclude Youth Month with a vibrant celebration in Oudtshoorn on Friday 28 June.
The day started with an energetic march from Bridgton Circle to the Bridgton Sports Ground (Die Plate), led by a lively band that set the tone for a festive gathering.
The band also performed at the venue, adding to the lively atmosphere. Participants and spectators enjoyed a day filled with companionship and insightful engagement as stakeholders from Oudtshoorn shared valuable information with the youth.
"We wanted to make this Friday memorable for the youth of Oudtshoorn and close off Youth Month on a high note," said the manager of Oudtshoorn Youth Café, Kay-Lee Piedt, reflecting on the event's purpose. It's about celebrating their energy, aspirations and contributions to our community."
In addition to the march and informative sessions, the day featured activities that kept everyone entertained. The youth were invited to dance and compete for small prizes, adding to the festive spirit of the occasion. DJ Chadwin Booysen kept the youth entertained with his music, ensuring a lively atmosphere from start to finish.
Throughout the event, attendees had the opportunity to connect with local stakeholders who provided valuable information and resources. As the day unfolded under the Oudtshoorn sun, the community embraced the spirit of Youth Month with enthusiasm and unity.
