Franzu Badenhorst, Director of Famsa Karoo said on Wednesday that the need for a safe and secure home had existed for some time.
The centre will now be situated at House Luigi in Wolf Road.
House Luigi will be renamed to House Francis.
The drop-in centre will officially begin its functions this Monday.
