OUDTSHOORN NEWS - Two men were arrested after they were caught with Mandrax worth R2.4 million in their possession on Saturday near Kaaimans Pass, just outside George.
According to Captain Bernadine Steyn, Southern Cape Police spokesperson,vigilant members of the Attaqua K9 Unite (Oudtshoorn Dog Unit), assisted by members attached to the provincial Narcotics Investigation Unit, acted on information they received.
Both suspects are detained at the George Police holding cells.
Provincial management has put a stern warning to potential drug peddlers to refrain from transporting these drugs as they will be caught and brought to justice, as these arrests are testimony of.
Eden Cluster Commander Major-General Oswald Reddy, who visited the members while they were processing the bust, commended the members involved for their dedication and commitment to bring these suspects to book.
