The South African National Editors' Forum (Sanef) says on its website that the Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) and the South African Police Services (SAPS) have stated that journalists who are stopped by security personnel that are enforcing the lockdown, will need to show media cards.
The Oudtshoorn Courant, George Herald, Mossel Bay Advertiser, Knysna-Plett Herald, South Cape Forum and Graaff-Reinet Advertiser will be published and will be available for the next three weeks during lockdown.

In a joint statement, Group Editors Operations Director Nicole Rimbault and Sales and Marketing Director Servaas de Kock stated the company's support for President Cyril Ramaphosa's actions.
