GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - According to the Garden Route District Municipality, the fireline of the wildfires at De Kombuis and west of the Swartberg Pass is contained.
"The wildfire is located north of De Kombuis and the Koos Raubenheimer Dam. Another area affected is on the northern side of the Swartberg Mountains, west of the Swartberg Pass.
"In the area north of the Koos Raubenheimer Dam, the fireline is contained. There are no visible flames or fire activity. In the Swartberg Pass area, the fireline is also contained with no visible flames or fire activity.
"The eastern flank near the Koos Raubenheimer Dam is accessible, allowing teams to carry out mop-up and verified operations.
"The affected area near the Swartberg Pass remains inaccessible for mop-up activities due to terrain challenges.
"Updates provided by Cape Nature. Roleplayers include Cape Nature, Prins Albert Municipality, Oudtshoorn Municipality (Structure Protection), and Garden Route District Municipality whom will provide the necessary assistance when so required.
