AGRICULTURE NEWS - The daily performances by the famous South African Lipizzaners will be a highlight of NAMPO Cape 2024 once again.
The dancing stallions and their skilled riders enthralled visitors at NAMPO Cape 2023.
The magnificent white horses of the South African Lipizzaner Centre will dance in choreographed routines to toe tapping tunes and display ancient war movements used on the battlefield.
Visitors to NAMPO Cape 2024 can watch the Lipizzaner performances at 10:00 and 14:00 on Wednesday to Friday and 10:00 on Saturday in the Western Cape Lubricants Arena.
Mounted archery is a form of archery that involves shooting arrows while on horseback.
The demonstrations by the accomplished team of Griffins Horse Archery are always a crowd favourite at NAMPO Cape. Daniel Griffin was one of the first internationally recognised horse archers from South Africa and contributed to its growing popularity.
The mounted archers will demonstrate their skills at 11:00 and 15:00 on Wednesday to Friday and 09:00 on Saturday in the Western Cape Lubricants Arena.
Other equestrian delights at NAMPO Cape 2024 include an Equine Discipline Expo where participants will show their skills in showing, dressage and show jumping. These items will take place at 09:00, 12:00 and 16:00 on Wednesday to Friday.
Another item to look forward to are daily performances by the Bredasdorp Black Horses. At 13:00 on Wednesday to Friday visitors can watch the Friesian Horses and Flemish Horses the Western Cape Lubricants Arena.
On Friday, 13 September at 14:00 learners and their parents can attend a free Horse Youth Show Clinic. Participants just need to buy tickets for NAMPO Cape to take part in this session where they will learn more about the finer points of participating in the horse division of Youth Show.
