ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) has announced their annual bursary open call for Film and Television studies.
In a press statement, the NFVF stated that the bursary applications which opened on 2 June, cover 100% tuition fees “with possible capped contributions towards accommodation, meals, and educational resources (for first-year students).”
Preference will be given to students at public tertiary institutions with academic merit and financial need.
“The NFVF is committed to showcasing a variety of entrepreneurial works within the Cultural and Creative Industries that reflect the diversity and potential of our youth.
As part of this commitment, the NFVF invites eligible youth to apply for bursary funding for full-time undergraduate or postgraduate studies in Film and Television disciplines at accredited institutions in South Africa. The programme aims to ensure equitable access to the creative economy and foster diverse, representative storytelling that reflects our realities and hopes.”
In celebration of Youth Month, the foundation also participated in the 2025 Creative & Cultural Industries Youth Career Expo and National Youth Day Exhibition in Potchefstroom on 15 and 16 June, showcasing career opportunities in the industry and offering funding guidance.
