Yesterday the corporation told communications regulator Icasa it would comply with its ruling to rescind its ban on the broadcast of images of violent and destructive protests.
It has also reached a settlement with the Helen Suzman Foundation in which it’s promised to temporarily withdraw the decision.
The South Afrcian Communist Party’s Alex Mashilo says the only people who should be punished for what has happened at the SABC are the executives who tried to introduce this ban.
