Murdered author to be laid to rest in Wellington

NATIONAL NEWS - Murdered author Winnie Rust is expected to be laid to rest in Wellington later this week.

The 77-year-old was found murdered in her home in Wellington last week.

Eighteen-year-old Nigel Plaatjies has been charged with her murder.

A second suspect is also in custody.

The 18-year-old accused matriculated from Hugenote High School last year.

Plaatjies was reportedly a star athlete.

The teenager is believed to be known to Rust and her family.
