"Eden-fietsry word gesien as die leier in fietsryontwikkeling in Suid-Afrika." Hierdie was die woorde van die sekretaris van die Eden-sportraad, Dave van der Walt, tydens Eden-fietsry se jaarlikse prysuitdeling en jaareindfunksie Vrydagaand 9 Desember, by die Eden-sportakademie op Oudtshoorn. Van der walt het die Eden-fietsry-assiosiasie beskryf as een van die mees gesaghebbende sport-assosiasies in die land.
