Oudtshoorn-skole neem basiese onderrig 'n stap verder deur leerders buitemuurs te bemagtig in spanwerk, oplos van probleemsituasies en oorkoming van hindernisse in die natuur. Hierdie tegnieke word dan deur die leerders toegepas binne probleemsituasies tydens skoolopleiding. Langenhoven Gimnasium en Colridge Primêr is twee van die skole wat reeds vanjaar by Solo Outdoor Experiences, Oudtshoorn gaan aanklop het om leerders in die vermelde tegnieke te bemagtig.
